Bicycle Touring Checklist

bicycle touring checklist

The right equipment is part of a relaxing holiday on a bike. In the run-up to the holiday, you should deal intensively with the topic six to eight weeks before the start of the trip in order to be able to fill any gaps in a relaxed manner.

Choose the right bike for your tour

The most important utensil and at the same time the most important piece of equipment is, of course, the bike itself. The everyday bike is usually sufficient for smaller, occasional trips. If you want more extensive tours that span several days or weeks, it is worth buying a special trekking bike or touring bike. In any case, it is important to test a new bike thoroughly before you go on a long tour or on a cycling holiday. Immediately before the holiday, you should check all screws again for a secure fit and check the brakes and air pressure.

Below we have put together a checklist for bicycle touring. Depending on the type and scope of the tour, as well as the place where the vacation is to take place, some things can remain safely at home. The following compilation is therefore a bit too extensive for most.
